We run all our surgeries with an appointment only system. Over one third of GP appointments are pre-bookable appointments, these can be booked up to 5 weeks in advance. The remaining appointments can be booked on the day by ringing at 8.30am.
We also offer pre-bookable telephone appointments for patients who do not need to be examined but would just like to talk to a doctor, e.g. to discuss medication, test/hospital results etc.
We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.
We offer an urgent "sit and wait" drop in clinic every morning between 8.30am and 11.30am. No need to phone ahead. If you need to see a doctor urgently then just turn up and report to Reception. The Receptionist will then add your name to the screen. Please note this is for urgent matters only and not for repeat prescriptions, sick notes or long-standing problems. We cannot guarantee which Clinician you will see.
We have some evening appointments available each day for patients who are unable to attend during our normal opening hours and one of our doctors sees patients from 8.10am.
You can book an routine appointment with a doctor or nurse on line. In order to access this we will need your email address. You will receive an email from ‘The Waiting Room’ with your log in details. It is recommended that you change the password when you log in for the first time. Appointments are available to book on line plus you will also be able to order repeat medication on line.
Occasionally we teach medical students and sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present. You will always be asked beforehand if this is acceptable and you may ask for the student to withdraw if you prefer to have your consultation in private.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
